SAUSA APPROACH
We envision a future where the people of Western Sahara have the right to choose their future with dignity
We therefore, create the platform where extraordinary people can join to make it happen. The Challenge
- The very fact that no one knows/heared of Western Sahara is evidence of the lack of awarness.
- The United Nations lack of action is keeping the Status Quo and prologing the suffering of people of Western Sahara.
- The USA State Department can play a cruciel role on pushing the parties to sit on the table, However, the USA is not fully involed.
- Many US Companies are investing the Occupied Territories of Western Sahara without the consent of the people and against the International law.
- Western Sahara is “No Go Media Zone” where journalist are prohibited from entering or reporting any Human Rights activities.
- Due to the confilict, harsh living conditions are andured by the refugees and the marginalization faced under the Morocan occupation occupations.
The Solution
- Raise awareness to bring an end to the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
- Hold the United Nations accountable to holds the legitimacy and the impartiality necessary to facilitate a lasting political solution to the conflict.
- Demand the State Department to pressure the parties to achieve a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution, which will provide for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara.
- Work toward making the U.S government, take a position on blocking any US companies from investing in the Occupied Territory of Western Sahara without the consent of the Saharawi people.
- Work with governments, non-governmental organizations, trade unions and human rights defenders to report the human rights violation and hold Morocco responsible under international Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
- Support the People of Western Sahara through financing projects, education and promoting the Saharawi Art and Culture.
