Minnesota International Summit (MINN Summit) is a full-day conference, organized every year to bring people from local and international organizations together to learn from each other’s experiences in the fields of global innovations and international development. This year SAUSA was invited to speak on the topic of self-sufficiency in the Refugee Camps. Mulay Ahmed and Fatimetu Jatri gave a presentation titled Local Development in Health and Education in the Sahrawi Refugee Camps, in which they talked about the conflict in Western Sahara, health and education situation in the Sahrawi Refugee Camps in southwest Algeria, and the impact of their Davis Projects for Peace in the Smara Sahrawi Refugee Camp. SAUSA members were also able to attend multiple events throughout the day, including Designing Solutions with Heart and the African Ambassador Panel. In the evening, SAUSA members joined a fundraiser for Books for Africa, at which they connected with people from all over Africa, who did similar jobs across the continent.
