As an American citizen who has been personally involved with the Saharawi people, whose homeland of Western Sahara has been occupied by Morocco since 1975, I wish to speak out in support of establishing a human rights monitoring mechanism to the MINURSO mandate of the United Nations.

I know that the support of the US is critical to the inclusion of the Human Rights protection of the Saharawi people living in Western Sahara, and I strongly encourage your support in this matter.
